Communications Redefined

The go-to consultancy for health, social care and tech organisations that want lasting visibility and impact – delivered by senior experts in PR, marketing and public affairs.

We turn strategy into influence,
and influence into results

Too often, communications comes with a compromise. Big agencies can charge premium fees and often use a team of generalists. While smaller agencies can talk a good game but the senior team aren’t always delivering the work.

We believe expert advice and support from specialists are non-negotiable. And cost shouldn’t be a barrier.

Whether you’re a start-up looking to win your first contract, a scale-up preparing for investment and more market share, or an established brand needing new momentum – we help build and protect reputations, influence decisions, and drive tangible growth outcomes.

No bloated hierarchies. No B-teams. No excessive costs.
Consider us your comms rebels – rewriting the rulebook so your organisation gets cut-through where it counts.

Who we are

We are a team of specialists who live and breathe health, social care, tech and policy.
Our Directors have held Board-level communication positions, written headlines for the national and trade press, worked at the highest levels of Government and in Parliament, and delivered lead-generating marketing campaigns.
From strategy to storytelling and crisis communications to lobbying, we offer unmatched expertise in one place.

Natalie Chishick

Founder & Executive
Director

Natalie has nearly 20 years of experience in healthcare communications and public affairs – working in Parliament, industry and well-established comms agencies. She began her career in Westminster working for the Leader of one of the main political parties before moving into some of the most prominent public affairs consultancies, advising healthcare clients on government relations and national policy.

She has since held Director and Board-level roles, agency and client side – leading policy, communications and reputation strategies for organisations working with the NHS. As Founder of Chishick Communications, she now helps companies shape policy, scale mindshare and deliver high-impact, lead-generating communication strategies.

Dan Buckley

Marketing Director

Dan is a marketing strategist who helps businesses cut through noise and grow with clarity. With expertise in storytelling, consumer psychology, and structured marketing systems, he transforms complex ideas into simple, powerful messages that audiences both remember and relate to.

He built his career from the lower leagues of English football to the Premier League before moving agency side and now specialises in healthtech.

Rose de Mendonça

Communications
Director

Rose has a decade of experience helping health and healthtech organisations grow their profile, sharpen their message, and influence the people who matter. She’s worked with startups, scale-ups, NHS partners, and global organisations to build clear strategies, create compelling content, and run campaigns that drive credibility, awareness, and commercial impact.

Her background spans Director-level roles in high-growth companies, strategic advisory work for innovators across the NHS, and hands-on delivery of media, events, marketing, and stakeholder engagement.

Jen Allsopp

PR Director

Jen is a communications specialist with more than 15 years’ experience in B2B technology and health tech PR. She has led media relations, press office functions and content strategy for global tech companies, digital health innovators and fast-growth scale-ups, shaping campaigns that support both commercial and policy objectives.

Her background spans top agencies and freelance consultancy, where she has delivered high-profile coverage, executive visibility and thought-leadership programmes across complex sectors. At Chishick Communications, Jen works with health and care organisations to craft compelling narratives, secure meaningful media impact and translate technical innovation into clear, credible stories.

PAUL MILLARD

Creative Director

Paul has decades of experience in design, publishing, and creative marketing. He leads on visual identity, graphics, and campaign design, helping brands translate strategy into bold, effective visuals.

Owen Hughes

PR Director &
Resident Journalist

Owen has been a reporter covering the digital and B2B health tech space for more than a decade. Formerly a senior editor at ZDNet and a senior reporter at Digital Health News, he now specialises in working with clients across digital health, AI and automation, cybersecurity, SaaS/PaaS and the wider supply chain ecosystem.

His work focuses on making complex ideas intelligible and grounded, drawing on years of reporting experience to help organisations build credibility and get coverage that cuts through the noise and stands up to scrutiny.

Claire Read

Resident Journalist

Claire brings over two decades of editorial experience, with a career rooted firmly in healthcare.

She began at Dr Foster, helping to shape the first Good Hospital Guide, before moving into health tech roles at The Learning Clinic/Vitalpac and later Royal Brompton & Harefield, where she led internal communications and contributed to an Oxford University Press volume on clinical governance.

Now, as a journalist, Claire has become a trusted voice in the sector. Her reporting and analysis appear in titles such as HSJ, Digital Health and the Local Government Chronicle, where she covers the shifting landscape of health, technology and social care.

Dr Harpeet Sood

Policy Advisor

Harpreet is a practising NHS GP partner in London and national policy leader with a long track record shaping the NHS’s digital and innovation agenda.

As former Senior Fellow to the NHS England Chief Executive and later Associate Chief Clinical Information Officer, he advised on national strategy covering technology, data, new care models and large-scale transformation programmes. He helped establish the NHS Digital Academy, led clinical assurance for Local Health and Care Records, contributed to the Bob Wachter IT Review, and supported major programmes such as the Global Digital Exemplars and New Models of Care.

Alongside his clinical work, he continues to advise organisations on policy, governance and system-wide reform.
